Gracie and Grandma

Gracie got to dance with my mom in "The Family Dance" it was made up of kids and either their mom or grandma and both have to take dance from Miss Summer. My mom was taking tap this year and so they got to dance together. It was very sweet. This first picture is of Gracie in her costume, wearing her big shirt that she had to wear to each performance to keep clean.
I just love the two of them!

Gracie was so serious at all times while dancing, so she could be perfect!

Thumbs up!

Gracie, our little dancer!

June 5th and 6th Gracie got to dance in her first Dance recital! She and her class danced to the song "Doe a Dear" or "Doe- Rey- Me" (you know the song from The Sound of Music). Here she is dancing and she's always a few beats ahead of everyone, because in her words she "has to beat everyone" (So she did every move right before the rest of the class.)

This is her class coming out for their final bows... and Gracie "Pranced out like a Show Pony", said Gracie's teacher's husband.

Them backing up... she really kicked those knees high!

With her flowers. She even got an orange bear!
After the last performance she was so sad to take off her costume. She really, really enjoyed being the center of attention. We have our work cut out for us!
Hopefully I'll get more pictures from the recital and Aaron's birthday up soon. Gracie got to dance with my mom cause they both took dance from Miss Summer, so those are precious pictures too!

Aaron turned 8 this past Friday, and we had a great weekend celebrating. Here he is blowing out his candles on his "Yellow Elephant" cake. He loves yellow and he loves elephants, so a yellow elephant cake is his dream!

My mom made the cake for him. He saw it in one of her cookbooks and that was the cake he wanted for his birthday!
Aaron, Caiden, and Gracie enjoying dessert at Golden Corral. That was Aaron's choice for his birthday lunch... Golden Corral, his favorite restaurant.

Aaron enjoying his little pie, I somehow got 8 candles in that little pie!
I just can't believe my 1st baby is 8!

We're a Navy Family!!

Hi Friends and Family
We are very excited to share that Matt has joined the US Navy! He is going to work in IT which is what he loves and we're so excited. Yesterday he got a call from someone down in Phoenix. He said that they were impressed with him and have asked him to participate in something called Excelling your Excellence (we think, we can't remember it's official title.) It's by invitation and they are going to have Matt take classes this fall and spring, then head to bootcamp June 2010, then he goes to his A+ school for IT, then one more semester after that at a college the Navy has picked out. Matt will then have his Associate's Degree and he'll go to his assignment wherever that may be. With all this he will finish as an E4, possibly an E5. We're so excited for the road ahead. God opened these doors in such a way that we can't do anything but give Him ALL the Glory. So we'll be around for the next year, but then we'll be wherever God and the Navy take us! Beth

BALLOONS!!!

The other day I had to take the car in to the shop and while we were waiting one of the car salesmen came over with 2 balloons for the kids. They were HUGE. I guess they were two that they normally have outside tied up to the cars. They were even the kids favorite colors... Orange and Yellow. We tried to capture how big the balloons are and hope you can see that in the pictures. The balloons were HUGE! :)

Aaron's Coach Pitch

Aaron is playing coach pitch this year and he loves it! In his last game he was up to bad 3 times and hit all 3 times!! Here are just a few pictures of Aaron playing. Hopefully soon we'll grab a picture of him batting for real. Our camera's batteries died before he went up to bad at one of his games... and we've forgotten the camera other days. Enjoy these! Matt took the camera with him the day they took the team picture and all that, so here you can see Aaron and his team! :)

Spring Break Bowling

Over spring break I decided to take the kids bowling. They really enjoyed it and I enjoyed watching them!
Here is Gracie with her Orange ball, wearing her Orange clothes.... she likes ORANGE!
Just a cutie Aaron!
Aaron's over the head form... he did pretty well... especially with the bumpers!

Gracie and her orange ball again

Gracie waiting for the ball to shoot up the fancy ball machine

More Aaron form!

This time leg back works best :)

Gracie had a great ramp she could roll her ball down. Since I still wasn't supposed to pick up much, Aaron would set it up each time for her, then he would take it down so he could bowl. They were pretty cute.

After Gracie pushed it down the ramp, her form was to keep her hands up un the air... I have Crazy kids

Just Aaron bowling!

Spring Break '09

I've not been so great at blogging as of late, but hopefully I'll have more to blog about now. I had surgery so that slowed us down for awhile, but in the next few months we have Gracie's first dance recital, Aaron's 8th birthday, and Aaron playing coach pitch. We should have some good pictures of all that coming soon! Right around my sixth week post op I was having major cabin fever, so we took a quick trip to Phoenix, and got a great last minute deal on a hotel. We had lots of fun at the pool! Enjoy.

Gracie's first I Love you!

She even poses when she doesn't know I'm taking pictures

Carousel!

About a month ago Gracie came up to me and said, "I'd like to go to a carnival so I can ride on the carousel." Well, Prescott doesn't have a carousel anywhere, and there was no carnival on the horizon. So we told her the next time we were near a carousel we'd let her go for a ride. On our recent trip to TX to visit Matt's family, Matt and I had the same idea as we drove through Phoenix. We both thought of malls we knew that had carousels. We drove right past Matt's idea, so we decided that would be the perfect place to stop for lunch. So we hopped out of the van and went into the mall. We didn't tell the kids before we just let them see the carousel. They both were so excited and galloped the whole way to the carousel! So here are a few pictures of our time at the Arizona Mills Carnival... and their amazing Carousel. Poor Matt was trying to get pictures as we moved around, so here are a few that aren't so blury!
Gracie got an orange horse... her favorite color!
Aaron got a yellow half horse half sea creature thing. He loves yellow, just like his Daddy!
